Should I have done this one differently?

This Stanley Theme II was a nightmare to restore and I nearly threw it away... multiple times.

Thankfully after many “just walk away before it gets worse” moments this one is finally done.

As much as I was striving for perfection I came up slightly short but hopefully the new look is better than the before.

The process:

Reused the old base components into a new custom base with legs using dowel joinery.
Reglued loose joints with @titebond
Filled voids with wood filler and 2 part epoxy
Spray painted with accents with @rustoleum Nutmeg spray paint
Scraped with @bahco carbide scraper
Sanded the piece with @3mabrasives Cubitron sanding pads
Stained with @zarfinishes premium teak
Sealed the piece with @Zinsser Sealcoat Dewaxed Shellac
Color touchups with Mohawk blendals, powder stains, and graining pens
Sprayed toner (Zinsser sealcoat + Transtint golden brown dye) to even the color
Top coated the piece with @geminiindustries Evo clear – Satin Sheen
