Compared to other birds of prey, peregrine falcons have sharp, pointed wings in a sickle shape. This helps them slice through the air and dive at speeds over 200 miles per hour (322kmh).

Range: worldwide except Antarctica
Size: about the size of a crow (18 to 49 ounces (0.5-1.4kg) in weight)
Diet: mostly birds also rodents and invertebrates
Lifespan: up to 20 years old
