Bugatti announced a special-edition Chiron Noire model based on the $12.5 million La Voiture Noire.
The model comes in Noire Élégance and Sportive guises, and is powered by the same quad-turbocharged 8.0-liter W-16 found in the Chiron.
Pricing starts at $3.3 million, and they are expected to arrive in mid 2020.
Only one person could buy Bugatti's most expensive new car to date, the $12.5 million La Voiture Noire, which was inspired by Jean Bugatti's legendary 1930s-era 57SC Atlantic. Interest in the ultra-expensive one-off Bugatti was apparently so high, in fact, that the French hypercar maker decided to make 20 "budget" versions of it and sell them for $3.3 million each. The new edition comes in two guises: the Noire Élégance and the Noire Sportive. The Élégance's carbon-fiber body is completely exposed, while the Sportive has a matte-black finish. The horseshoe grille features a unique linear design with a Bugatti badge made of solid silver and black enamel. The Noire models sport new Caractère wheels with black-painted calipers, and on the Élégance models, various exterior bits including the C-shaped Bugatti signature line are finished in aluminum. There's also a Noire script on the bottom corner of the side panels in front of the rear wheels.
