Now we are in mid October we are cracking on with getting our vegetable beds tidied up and ready for their next crops. Today we cleared our butternut squash bed, our bean arch and one of our long raised beds. Along the way I delved into one of our main crop potato containers to collect some potatoes for our evening meal.
All the material we removed from the beds today went into our compost beds and will eventually go back onto the garden beds to feed them.
Work in our kitchen garden never stops. Keeping the productivity going takes a lot of effort and planning, but it’s so worth while!
