I managed to leave my water bottle in another airplane a few gates over. Fortunately the gate agent was nice enough to bring it to us as we were about to depart. But we didn't have time to bring the jetbridge up to the door, so it was 'simply' a matter of opening the window and catching the bottle. Easier said than done.
