The market was wild last week as all-time highs were tested following Powell's Jackson Hole speech. We dissect what Powell said and look at the possibility of rate cuts coming in September. Jerome Powell laid out the groundwork for rate cuts and talked about juggling both sides of their dual mandate. They attempt to keep inflation at bay without hurting jobs or employment. We also take a look at Nvidia as they report earnings this week. Nvidia will have a major impact on the S&P 500 as it is the heaviest weighted stock in the index. Speaking of chip stocks, we also look at Intel. The U.S. government officially took a 10% stake in Intel. This could help them recovery from their recent drought.
