Having grown up in the same neighborhood, Lenora Jackson didn’t want to see another house torn down. When the opportunity arose to purchase a house two doors down from her residence through our Own It Now program, she jumped at the chance to turn the vacant property into a beautiful home for her uncle, who is a disabled veteran.

When asked what she was most proud of with the work she’s done, Mrs. Jackson said the fact her family and friends completely renovated the home themselves, making it “a labor of love.”
