In 2187,On Earth,the entire UNSA fleet gathers at Geneva. Suddenly, the UNSA's AATIS defense cannons, hijacked by the SDF, open fire on the assembled fleet; simultaneously, an SDF assault force invades Geneva. The battle is a disaster for the UNSA, as only two ships survive the battle: the carrier Retribution, to which Reyes is assigned, and the destroyer Tigris.
