Legend says that Raja Bhismaka was the ruler of Vidarbha or Kundina in saumerpith area but now it's called modern sadiya. Raja Bhismaka had five sons and a daughter named Rukmini.
Krishna, having heard of her beauty, was anxious to merry her. But her father had arranged to give her in marriage to another prince named Shishupal. Rukmini, secretly send the news to Krishna and on the day fixed to her marriage, he suddenly appeared and carried her off in his chariot. Many of the marriage songs of Assam contain allusions to this legend called, "Rukmini-Haran" ( Kidnapping of Rukmini ).

Mainly Rukmini temple is all about Kirshna and Rukmini.

Malinithan is all about how Durga Maa, Shiva welcomed Krishna and Rukmini during their journey towards Duwarka.

Malinithan is in Arunachal Pradesh ( dist - Lower Siang) Lekhabali.
