Because of which humans do not know how to control themselves, and they are under the control of the parasyte. Here, humans are becoming the host of these parasites.

A special worm comes in the hands of the 'Shinichi' character. This parasite is not as dangerous as the rest of them, but they both form a relationship like a friendly partner. Together, they also have to fight other violent individuals. Apart from that, they have to stay away from other parasites and their hosts so that their reality is not exposed to anyone else.
