Des Moines Public Schools has filed a lawsuit against JG Consulting, the Texas-based firm involved in the search and hiring of former superintendent Ian Roberts.
"The search firm failed in their duty to properly vet the candidates and Dr. Roberts should have never been presented as a potential Superintendent," said Jackie Norris, chair of the Des Moines School Board.
DMPS alleges JG Consulting breached contract for “failing to properly vet Roberts and by referring Roberts as a candidate when he could not lawfully hold the position.”
