The #isoosichat weekly Marketing Discussion hangout with special guest +Jim Hedger joining the regular panel of +Ammon Johns +Bill Slawski and +ISOOSI Research Engine
Wishing SEO dead
The articles and stories proclaiming that "SEO is dead" have been a regular occurrence for so long that they are an in-joke in the industry. While such articles can be easy to laugh off, many feel that they are just one sign of several that the reputation problems for SEO are at critical levels.
+Jim Hedger describes himself as: " involved in the SEO field since the days of the dinosaurs" which puts him right alongside +Ammon Johns as one of those rare 'Living Relics' of the industry who manage to stay completely relevant despite all the changes. +Bill Slawski has been around almost as long too, but people like Bill too much to keep pointing out his age.
We asked all three of these luminaries about their marketing plans for the rest of 2014 and none of them had "to be dead" on the list. Obviously, this makes them a perfect panel for discussing the long running death wishes against SEO, the many attempts to create standards, and other reputation issues of Search Marketing.
Join us as we examine just why SEO is perceived to have such a terrible reputation. Why are 'standards' and 'regulation' so often asked for, yet also derided, suspect, and unacceptable?
