About a month ago, I applied for a fellowship that would get me $50,000 with no strings attached. Unfortunately, the interview invitation landed in my spam folder, and I only saw it 4 hours before the start of the interview. As there was a lot of traffic, I would not have been able to make it in time all the way to Manhattan, so I had to get innovative. As my friend Alexander was already in town and was doing practice flights to renew his pilot license, he spontaneously agreed to fly me to the nearest airport next to Manhattan. Before landing in NYC, we made a very low flight over the Hudson river, flying directly next to the beautiful Manhattan skyline.
