"Find something you love that doesn't feel like effort." That's what Yo Oizumi told his daughter. Is it because he doesn't remember making any effort himself? Despite describing himself as a "complaining, negative person," Oizumi has been incredibly successful. In the 2022 NHK Taiga drama "The 13 Lords of the Kamakura," he brilliantly portrayed the role of Minamoto no Yoritomo. His first encounter with Shigesato Itoi, who is completely hooked on the Taiga drama, was a fascinating experience. I had no idea how entertaining it would be, but it exceeded my expectations!
