LVNs (LPNs) will be phased out SOON!! That's what "they" have been saying since the 1980s, but LPNs and LVNs are still here providing amazing patient care!

I don't think LPNs/LVNs are going to go away any time soon, despite the constant rumors. The Bureau of Labor Statistics projects a 6% growth rate for LPN/LVNs in the next decade, which is the same projected growth rate for RNs.

I love LPNs/LVNs and all of the other types of nurses. We all work as a team in healthcare.
