Jim Rickards said that the Fed don't know what they're doing because monetary tightening doesn't work. it's a hard concept to understand and it's just a handful of people that understands it.
what if one trillion dollars of bonds show up and there's no money to pay for it? the fed have to prints it, therefore creates more inflation.
Jim also said that there's a lot of knowledge required to do all this, including international economics and so on.
