I bought these shoes at Walmart. I have also done them on old converse. I apply the marker, then the rubbing alcohol (mine was 90%), then let them dry completely before washing. I washed mine in the sink with dish soap and dried in the dryer. They do transfer to your socks a little bit at first if they get wet, so be aware. Have fun!!
