This week during #latinoheritagemonth we are highlighting a dish that dates back to pre-Colombian times that originated from tribes in Colombia and Venezuela - the arepa. Arepas are made from corn dough and cooked on both sides and filled with a number of delicious fillings depending on where you are and your preferences! This version has cheese, beans, and maduros (fried ripe plantains).
