The Goddess Who Won Against Death

In the golden city of Dwaraka, a terrifying rumor spread like wildfire — Krishna had entered a dark cave to fight a deadly demon, and blood had begun to flow from its mouth. The people believed the worst: their beloved Krishna was dead. Grief swept through the city. Devotees wept, warriors mourned, and the palace fell silent.

But Rukmini, Krishna’s first and most devoted queen, refused to believe it.
Her heart knew what the world did not — Krishna could never fall to mere blood and battle.

With unshaken faith, Rukmini sat in deep Tapasya (meditative penance), praying with fierce devotion to the Divine Mother. She vowed not to move, not to eat, not to speak, until she received a sign that Krishna still lived.

Moved by the purity of her love and the strength of her unwavering faith, the Goddess appeared before her — some say Lakshmi, others say Parvati or Durga. With a gentle smile, the Goddess blessed Rukmini and placed a sacred mark of sindoor on her forehead, saying:

“As long as this sindoor shines upon you, no harm shall ever touch Krishna. Your devotion protects him beyond fate itself.”

Moments later, to the astonishment of all, Krishna emerged from the cave alive and victorious, untouched by death. He smiled, knowing it was not his strength alone but Rukmini’s faith that had preserved him.
