In this video, I talk about Marvin L. Winans and the ongoing building project at Perfecting Church in Detroit. For over 20 years, Marvin Winans has asked the church members to give money to build a new church, but the project still isn’t finished.

Im sharing my own experiences growing up in church, talks about leadership, and raises questions about how money is used in churches. I play clips from Marvin Winans’ armor bearer, who once wrote a letter to Pastor Winans to share concerns about the church and talk about what God showed him in a dream. The video also shows church members being asked to give $2,000 each, and discusses how many special giving days there have been over the years.

There’s some funny moments too, but Marcellus gets serious about why it’s important to really understand what church leaders are doing with money. He talks about other preachers who also ask their church for big donations, and explains why some people are upset. Finally, Marcellus talks about Tyler Perry giving $100,000 to the church, and argues about whether God told anyone to build this special building.
