On a rainy Norman night in June 1944, hundreds of tanks and thousands of shivering men in waterlogged trenches anxiously awaited the roar of artillery, a signal that would raise the curtain on the largest Allied offensive since D-Day.

In this video, with the help of unique wartime map overlays, historic footage and the personal testimony of the combatants, we’ll follow the fortunes of just three men who found themselves in the heart of the battle. This is the story of Operation Epsom.
