Hyperfocus is an intense fixation on a specific interest or activity for a long period of time. They can block out the world during these times which affects their ability to complete other tasks. When interrupted you will often get a frustrated response, which can be seen as negative. Keep calm so you can maintain their attention and they will slowly calm down. They will also be more receptive and more likely to finish the task you’re asking them to complete. Give them fair warning and time to finish their hyperfocus interest. If you don’t you will receive more pushback and they will most likely not finish the task you asked them to complete. Be supportive ❤
