Here are the steps:
➡️ Clean with a degreasing cleaner
➡️ Scuff sand the body with 120 grit & sand the top to bare wood with 130 grit then again with 220 grit
➡️ Remove the old base
➡️ Fill any damage with wood filler
➡️ Prime
➡️ Paint
➡️ Whitewash & seal the top
➡️ Build and attach the new base (if you’re interested in learning how to build a custom base let me know in the comments!)
➡️ Attach new hardware
➡️ Stage & sell on Facebook Marketplace!
