Storms in France in 2020 seem to be a regular occurrence for the start of 2020 and as a Filipino living in France, I've captured the local effects of Storm Dennis that hit France and the UK during the weekend of 15th February.

One week before storm Dennis, France, the UK and the rest of Europe were hit with storm Ciara and following Storm Dennis the next weekend we were hit with a third consecutive storm this weekend Storm Jorge.

The ground was saturated after storm Ciara and when storm Dennis arrived the following week laden with more rain, rivers throughout Europe burst their banks creating large scale flooding.

In the UK the Met Office and environment agency gave over 600 flood warnings throughout the UK with some having risk of life attached.

Thankfully for us although just 100 meters from the river Tarun we are some 5 meters above the river and throughout the valley is a large flood plain that works a treat.
