I always think night busses are a good idea until I am actually on them!

In this video I take you along with me on my 16 hour journey from Koh Lanta to Bangkok, Thailand.

It started with a very hot an crowded van from Koh Lanta to Krabi. I was the last person to be picked up, so I had to cram in the back of the van with everyone else's luggage boxing me into my tiny seat. The air conditioner was half way broken, so that made the 2 hour ride feel more like 4!

I then arrived to a bus station in Krabi, which was more like a garage, and waited an hour for what I thought was going to be my luxury night bus. It ended up being another van that took me to another town called Mueang Surat Thani which took 3 hours to get there.

Then I get out of the van and people start rushing me into a big bus saying It is leaving right now! I get on and then the bus starts moving and I realize this is no where near the luxury sleeper bus I paid for. The luxury bus was meant to have seats that recline almost completely to lay flat, whereas this one reclined just about as much as an airplane seat.

It was a long 10 hour ride to Bangkok! I ended up sleeping a decent amount, I would fall asleep for about 2 hours at a time and would wake up to reposition then fall right back asleep.

We arrived at 4:00am, and luckily I was able to grab a tuk tuk to my hostel. But unfortunately there was no one at the front desk of the hostel, so I was stuck sitting outside until about 5am when a girl leaving for the airport let me in.

I then dropped my bags and spent the entire day out and about until I could check in to my hostel around 3. I went to the Siam Paragon mall where I hit up Sephora and Lush, then a bunch of different baked goods stands in the food court!

Around 3 I was so exhausted from being either sitting or on my feet for the past 27 hours, so I checked in to my hosel and laid horizontal for the rest of the evening! the next day I slept in and had a slow, easy morning.

I then headed out to to run some more errands and check my bag into a luggage storage unit in Bangkok. After that, I rushed back to the Siam Paragon just in time to catch a showing of the new Antman movie! I love watching movies in theaters, so not being able to for the last 9 months has been difficult!

The next morning I headed to the airport where I hopped on a plane to the Philippines! So stay tuned, because I will be sharing all of my videos from my time visiting different islands in the Philippines in the coming weeks!
