Here’s how I did it!
sanded off the finish on all with 120 grit
Mixed oxalic acid with hot water, apply to surface & waited for it to dry
neutralized surface with borax water solution Reapply as needed. Neutralized with borax water solution.
applied wood glue to fix floppy veneer
used epoxy putty to fix in any areas of chipped veneer, sanded down with 120 grit once it was dry
applied hemp oil to every part of the dresser that had veneer
wiped off excess with lint free cloth (takes 30 days to fully cure!)
prayed old hardware with metallic gold spray paint
applied soft wax in clear to drawer slides for them to glide better
