Is there really a “best” lens for street photography?

The 35mm vs 50mm debate is usually treated as a technical one. Field of view, distortion, bokeh. But the real difference goes much deeper than that. The two focal lengths are differ in distance, presence, and how each one changes the way you move and engage with the streets.

In this video, I share my journey from shooting almost exclusively with a 50mm to discovering what the 35mm taught me about context, complexity, and storytelling, and why both lenses are necessary to complete you as a photographer.
