The Lesson is simple -

We are not the ones who judge people. Judgement belongs only to Allah.

A woman not wearing Hijab does not become outside of Islam because of that alone. We have turned into a reactionary emotional society, so emotional that we forget Islam teaches understanding of the human being before harshness.

In the West, you cannot force things the way some cultures force in the East or in South Asia. Guidance must be with wisdom, not compulsion. We do not need to push or attac, we need to educate and inspire.

Do not misunderstand the Shaykh. He has travelled, seen cultures, studied deeply, and dedicated his life to preserving traditional Islam in a time and in a place where that knowledge was almost erased. A man who has lived the path,not theorized about it from a couch.

Instead of searching for slips in the words of the scholars, respect the weight of their knowledge. Our own level is nothing compared to theirs, only a tiny drop. We must stop acting like the judges of religion while holding a handful of information from Google.

The ones who know the least about the deen are often the loudest. They quote a few verses of the Qur’an or a hadith or two, and suddenly, they speak like seasoned scholars, as if they’re mufassirin or muhaddithin. This is a dangerous problem in our Ummah today. The average Muslim must recognize their place. Matters of deep Islamic knowledge are not for the public to interpret at will. That responsibility belongs to the true scholars.

The Prophet ﷺ warned us of a time when ignorant people would speak on behalf of the religion. Today, instead of humbling ourselves, we argue with those far more knowledgeable, based on our Google searches and emotions.

The greatest thing a Muslim can do is mind their own business. Speaking without knowledge is not bravery, it’s a fitnah.

And remember:

“Whoever eats the flesh of the scholars is consuming poison. And whoever walks the path of backbiting them, Allah will disgrace him before he dies.”
— Imam Ibn Asakir رحمه الله

So let us fear Allah, hold our tongues, and leave religious authority to those qualified. Criticizing the scholars without proper knowledge is not bravery. It’s arrogance, and arrogance destroys.
