If you've seen my recent sewing plans video, you might remember I wanted to make a quilted jacket using leftover linen fabric scraps from past clothing projects. Each piece was too small to make a full garment, but together, they formed a beautiful patchwork design inspired by nature.

In this video, I take you through the entire process of sewing this DIY quilted jacket, from sketching out design ideas to quilting, assembling, and finishing with bias binding and snaps. I used the Olive Jacket pattern by Mood Fabrics (free pattern!) and modified it to create an organic, mountain-like quilted effect.

✂️ What You'll See in This Video:
✔️ Sketching & Choosing a Patchwork Design
✔️ Cutting & Sewing Curved Linen Pieces
✔️ Quilting with Batting & Flannel Lining
✔️ Assembling the Jacket with Bias Binding
✔️ Adding Snaps & Hidden Inner Pockets

This was one of the most elaborate sewing projects I’ve done, and I couldn’t be happier with the result! The quilted details, soft flannel lining, and curved patchwork design make this a unique and wearable piece—perfect for transitioning from winter to spring.
