THE BEST Way to Practice Drawing Backgrounds!!

I’m making a video where for a week I’m practicing backgrounds and I feel like this is a good practice tag will help you with drawing backgrounds!!! Hope you learn something and ENJOY!!!

1. Get a good reference.
2. Change it to grayscale.
3. Using Simple shapes, try to capture the reference photo.
4. You can set time limit for that.
5. Remember about contrast. Closer things are darker and further things are lighter/faded. It creates a nice depth.

BONUS TIPS -
1. Use layers to draw different parts of a background. Helps with making depth.
2. Because of the atmosphere, things further away get more faded. You can use airbrush to gently erase some parts of a background to shop the atmosphere/mist/clouds!!
