In Operation Epic Fury, American naval air power is not being driven by one miracle aircraft. It is being driven by a system.

In this video, we break down the four Navy aircraft playing key roles in the fight: the F-35C Lightning II, the F/A-18 Super Hornet, the EA-18G Growler, and the E-2D Advanced Hawkeye. Together, these four airframes form a layered combat team that can penetrate defended airspace, jam enemy sensors, carry the bulk of the strike load, and manage the battlespace overhead.

We also take a look at the dual-carrier architecture behind the operation, including the roles of the USS Gerald R. Ford and the USS Abraham Lincoln, and how those two carriers function as shield and sword in a modern naval air campaign.
