A special trailer for the film adaptation of "Hirugao: Love Affairs in the Afternoon" (Fuji TV), starring actress Aya Ueto, was released on April 20th.

The drama aired from July to September 2014 and tells the story of a "weekday daytime wife" who falls in love with another man after sending her husband off to work on a weekday. It follows the struggles and anguish of part-time housewife Sawa Sasamoto, played by Aya Ueto, as she falls into the life of a "daytime wife" after meeting biologist Yuichiro Kitano, played by Takumi Saito.

The film is set three years after the events of the drama. Sawa (Ueto), who has divorced her husband and is living alone in a seaside town, happens to find out that Kitano (Saito) is coming to town to give a lecture, and the two are reunited... The film version will be directed by Nishitani, just like the TV series, with the screenplay by Inoue Yumiko.
