Summary of Every Villain in Sakamoto Days Explained:
Sakamoto Days is known for its heart-pounding action, dark humor, and a roster of unforgettable villains who challenge Sakamoto and his crew at every turn. From death row inmates to complex masterminds, these villains aren’t just powerful—they’re layered, tragic, and terrifyingly unique. In this article, we’ll break down every major villain in Sakamoto Days, starting with the fearsome death row inmates sent by the enigmatic Slur.

1. Apart
Apart is one of the four death row inmates unleashed by Slur to eliminate Sakamoto and his allies. A perfectionist assassin with a peculiar hatred for pickles, Apart’s body count exceeds two hundred, earning him a spot in a maximum-security prison in Southeast Asia. But his supposed execution was staged, allowing him and three others to wreak havoc in Japan.

Armed with razor-sharp, wire-like threads, Apart slices his targets with surgical precision, even dismembering innocent bystanders who aren’t on his hit list. Despite his lethal prowess, Apart’s desire to “connect” with people is deeply twisted. Influenced by his father’s words—“what’s inside of people is what truly matters”—Apart developed a warped philosophy, believing that dismembering others brings him closer to them.

2. Dump
Dump, another death row inmate, has a horrifying ability—she can produce spikes from her body, which she uses to pierce her targets. She was responsible for one of the bizarre corpses riddled with holes found across Japan. Her fight against Osaragi showcased her sadistic nature and twisted perception of beauty.

Obsessed with love and the idea of being adored, Dump’s actions stem from a fear of abandonment. She believes that by instilling fear, she can keep people close. Tragically, her quest for love only leaves her feeling empty, prompting her to move on to the next victim. In her final moments, she realizes the irony of her twisted ideals, recognizing Osaragi’s beauty before meeting her end.

3. Saw
Saw, a former military man with the lowest body count among the inmates, is no less terrifying. His weapon of choice is a rope-attached axe, which he throws with devastating force. Responsible for the corpse with its flesh shaved off, Saw believes in creating “beautiful endings,” viewing real-life tragedies as dramatic masterpieces.

His obsession with cinematic deaths is rooted in his warped philosophy of life and death. But when faced with his own mortality, Saw reveals his hypocrisy, desperately trying to escape his fate. After a fierce battle with Shin and Lu, he attempts to flee but is swiftly executed by Hyo, putting an end to his morbid fantasies.

4. Minimalist
Minimalist is the most straightforward yet terrifying of the death row inmates. He possesses immense strength, capable of crushing his targets into tiny balls. With the highest recorded victim count among his peers, Minimalist attacks with raw brutality, never hesitating to destroy anything—or anyone—in his path.

Despite his fearsome power, he meets his match against Nagumo, who effortlessly outmaneuvers and eliminates him. Unlike his fellow inmates, Minimalist’s motivations are purely driven by boredom and the thrill of a challenge, making him the most merciless of the group.

5. Uzuki Kei (Slur/X)
The mastermind behind the chaos, Uzuki Kei—also known as Slur or X—is the main antagonist in Sakamoto Days. Leading a group of ruthless assassins, his goal is to destroy the JAA and create a new world order. Uzuki’s past is deeply intertwined with Sakamoto and Nagumo, as he once fought Sakamoto and barely survived.

This near-death experience drove him to save his fellow orphans from Al-Kamar, a facility used by the JAA to create merciless assassins. His revenge against the JAA is personal, especially towards its current chairman, Asaki.
