In this video, we share how we constructed our garden barn, entirely free of concrete or bricks, using sustainable materials such as recycled wood, wood fiber insulation, and metal cladding. By choosing these eco-friendly alternatives, we aimed to minimize the environmental impact while ensuring the structure remains breathable and energy-efficient. The building is wrapped in an airtight membrane and insulated with 180mm of wood fiber, providing excellent thermal performance. We believe these choices will make the barn comfortable year-round, reducing the need for heating even during winter months.

With the right combination of breathable membranes and airtightness, we’ve created a structure that is both sustainable and durable.
