Manor Lords in Early Access - Cool, Promising, But I Can't Even - My Assorted Thoughts

I played Manor Lords (which I seem to believe should be called Manorlord like Bannerlord), which turns out to be a pretty decent medieval city builder in the 'Banished-like' mould. But, it's early access. And I am now a broken man. It also has flashes of a greater game that perhaps inspired the hype around it, so I'll talk about that a bit too.
