This video walks you through the major advancements in second-generation AWS Outposts racks, including support for the latest generation of x86-powered Amazon EC2 instances, a new networking architecture with built-in resiliency and independent scaling of compute and networking, and a new category of specialized EC2 instances with accelerated networking for ultra-low latency and high throughput workloads.

The new generation of Outposts racks delivers greater performance for a broader range of on-premises workloads, including edge inference of machine learning (ML) models and some of the most demanding mission-critical workloads that were once considered impossible to run in the cloud, such as core trading systems of financial services and telecom 5G Core and Radio Access Network (RAN) centralized Units (CU) workloads.
