This is the demolition of the first of several buildings on a two acre commercial property in downtown Winnetka IL. Most of the buildings have been abandoned for upwards of 15 years, and several proposals for new buildings have been approved then canceled. A Chicago developer has finally received permits for a new mixed use building. Most of what is being demolished contains little to no historical significance and are in bad condition. The buildings range from the 1930s to late 80s, and are an array of wood frame, brick, cinderblock, and concrete structures.
