What if you woke up tomorrow and one of your Fundamental Rights was gone? 😱
In 1978, that’s exactly what happened.

The Right to Property, once a Fundamental Right under the Indian Constitution, was removed by the 44th Amendment Act.
Why? Because after independence, India needed to carry out land reforms and acquire land for public purposes — but this Right stood in the way.

So Parliament changed it: now it exists as a Legal Right under Article 300-A, meaning the government can take property for public use only with proper compensation.

From Fundamental to Legal — a turning point in Indian constitutional history. 🇮🇳
