Improvising over the Shine On You Crazy Diamond chord progression is one of my favourite ways to create that nostalgic essence of Pink Floyd. I made this loop starting with a long guitar solo in the style of David Gilmour, and naturally drifting into a softer style slide guitar to ease the listener into a peaceful state of sleep or meditation as the track progresses.

The background ambience is comprised of organs, high strings, subtle field recording textures, minimoog bass and psychedelic synth sounds. All using emulations of Pink Floyds vintage gear, and sculpted to sound like the original.
