Ganga Choti is located near Sudhan Gali in Bagh District of Azad Kashmir, rising to an elevation of around 10,000 feet. A popular spot for trekking and camping, it offers picturesque views of green hills, pine forests, and quaint villages. While the best time to visit is during the summer for clear skies, the weather can often turn cloudy, as it did during our visit, adding a mysterious charm to the landscape. Despite missing the panoramic views, the journey and experience of camping made this trip to Ganga Choti truly memorable.

Join us on an unforgettable journey to the mystical Ganga Choti in Azad Kashmir! Accompanied by my friend Akif Waqar, we began our adventure from Murree after 10 AM, passing through scenic routes including Bhurban, Kohala, Dherkot, Bagh, and Sudhan Gali. The lush landscapes of Azad Kashmir welcomed us as we ascended towards Ganga Choti.

Upon reaching Ganga Choti, the weather was covered in thick clouds, creating a mystical atmosphere. Although we were unable to witness the clear views from the peak, the cloud-covered surroundings added to the beauty of the experience. For our stay, we decided to camp in our own tent, cooking rice ourselves and enjoying the tranquillity of the mountains. We didn't have to pay anything to the locals for camping, though we did pay a small fee of 50 PKR to use the washroom facilities nearby.

On the second day, as we prepared to leave, the fog remained dense, and unfortunately, we couldn’t get a clear view of Ganga Choti. However, the experience of camping under the clouds and cooking our own meal in the wild was truly an adventure in itself.
