In this video, I spend a day in 1882 and show all the various outfit changes a lady of the era would go through. I show all the layers involved in each outfit, everything from a nightgown all the way to a fancy evening gown worn to dinner. In the Victorian era, a lady would have different outfits for basically each task or activity during the day as well as different things for day use and eveningwear in various levels of formality. Especially the upper levels of society would spend a huge chunk of their day just changing outfits.
