Sikar is the first hitech city in Rajasthan. One who shares his boundaries - Jhunjhun, Churu, Nagaur, Jaipur and Interstate border with Haryana. Sikar's old name was "Abode of Virbhan" which was settled by Virbhan. The city of Sikar was founded by Maharaja Daulat Singh in 1687 AD. It is mainly believed to be ruled by the Shekhawati kings. Sikar district, spread over about 7742 square kilometers, is the 18th largest district in Rajasthan after Chittorgarh in terms of area. According to the 2011 census, the total population of Sikar district is 26 lakh 77 thousand 333. Which is the sixth district of Rajasthan after Udaipur and the 150th most populous district in India.

Sikar district is also very famous due to its melo. The main fair here is - Baleshwar fair, which is held at Baleshwar place of Sikar is the fair of Jinmata, Khatu Shyam Baba fair and Shakambhari Mata fair.

Sikar district is made up of 6 tehsils in which 1. Dent Ramgarh 2. Fatehpur 3. Lachamgarh 4. Neem ka thana 5. Seekar
