This is what it means to become conscious of value systems, to identify and evaluate the value systems at play, and how projecting our own value system onto someone with a different value system can interfere with our ability to empathize with them, causing us to project rather than truly know another's experience. If we make societal changes from a state of projection, we aren't helping anyone. I also get into the problem with supremacy and some solutions to supremacy.
