A reserve day is scheduled for Monday, 3 November 2025, in case no or inadequate play is possible on the original day.

On the scheduled day, officials will try to complete the match. If needed, overs may be reduced.

For a valid result, each team must bat a minimum of 20 overs each.

If the match begins (possibly reduced overs) on the scheduled day, but is then interrupted again and cannot be completed, play will carry over to the reserve day with the reduced overs still applying.

If even the reserve day is washed out and no result is possible, the trophy will be shared between India and South Africa.
