It’s a wild world out there and if you need proof feast your eyes on this Paul Mccobb Planner Group upcycle.

The Planner Group furniture line made McCobb a household name in the 1950s. His designs were awarded the prestigious Good Design Award by The Museum of Modern Art in NYC a total of five times.

The prior artist likely didn’t know what they had so it was time to bring this piece back to its awarded former glory.

Do you like the natural maple look?

what I did:

Stripped the piece with @Kleanstrip chemical stripper.
Sanded the piece with @seriousgrit sanding pads
Sealed the piece with @Zinsser Sealcoat Dewaxed Shellac
Sprayed a very light coat of toner (Zinsser sealcoat + Transtint medium brown dye) to even the color
Top coated the piece with @geminiindustries Evo clear – Satin Sheen
Recycled the Home Depot special knobs and replaced them with the proper ones.
