In today's video, I talk about how to get past the ugly phase while creating art.

I started this gouache painting with high hopes and that quickly faded as I kept working. I was struggling to keep painting, but using my own tips on how to keep going when your art isn't coming out how you want it to, I was able to finish this painting! I focused on making sure the preliminary work was done to the best of my ability, I took lots of breaks, and I worked smarter.

Hopefully the tips I give in this video can help you to get past the ugly phase and keep going when your art isn't turning out how you want it to!
