Virtual Study Room Demo - Final Project of CS5340 HCI - NEU Seattle 2020 Fall

Introduction

The virtual study room is a website providing an online community for people to study or work in groups or pairs online. Because of Covid-19, people working from home are experiencing a few struggles that regular human connection could help with.
A good amount of human interaction is able to reduce the likelihood that people will procrastinate or be distracted. An online platform for people to work or study together will help them to boost productivity and work/study better by having virtual connections.

Features:
1. Account Log In/ Registration: Log in or sign up as a signed-out user or a new user who wants to access our website.
2. Match Future Sessions: Find a match to join an ongoing session after logging in.
3. Edit Booked Sessions: As a regular user of our website, check out the upcoming sessions and do operations like “review current schedules”, “cancel current schedules” and “set reminder clocks for desired schedules”
4. Host A New Session: As a regular user of our website, schedule a session as a host with different settings: private only, private and friend invited, and public.
5. Enter A Scheduled Session: Join the sessions on the current schedule and quit it under 3 situations: “not start yet”, “in the middle”, and “when the session ends”.
