Meet Alan Lau (@alan999), collector extraordinaire and a new source of my inspiration. Sometimes working in the art industry, you forget what the work is about. You forget that we are in this for the art. The passion behind the art. But meeting Alan and witnessing his encyclopedic knowledge of every single piece he has collected is a reminder to keep on learning. To stay hungry and curious. Like another collector we featured recently (scroll back to find), there is a certain delight that comes through in the way Alan speaks about art and collecting: “It’s kind of fun”.
