Painting kitchen Formica countertops with retique it first I sanded the counter top with 80 grit honestly you could not really tell it was sanded but I definitely wouldn’t skip this step. Next was tack cloth it then 2 coats of primer (how many coats of primer affects your color) then paint and get your lines work then clear coat after. The countertops have been painted for about a year and a half now and I really had low expectations but surprisingly it’s held up there is 2 small spots behind the sink that scratched away but I would highly recommend this product seeing how cheap it is compared to a new countertop
