This is the 2nd part of mission Krumber lake In Broghal Valley. In this video, I take you along on a 97 km journey from Mastuj to Yarkhun Lashat in the heart of Yarkhun Valley.
The day started early at Noor Mahal Hotel in Mastuj where i stay last night in budget of 1000pkr. I woke up, offered my prayers, took a shower, and got ready for the trip. I went to the bazaar looking for breakfast, but every hotel was serving only paratha with tea — which I don’t like. Hoping to find curry but failing to do so, I finally stopped at a bakery, bought three pastries with juice, and prepared to set off.

Before leaving, I informed my family that I would likely be out of internet coverage and might not even have mobile signal for the next two days. At exactly 6:05 AM, I began my ride towards Broghil Valley — though in this video, we’ll cover only up to Yarkhun Lashat.

From Mastuj, after 24 km, you reach Brep — the first major village with a petrol pump and a Chitral Scouts post. Here, the army welcomed me warmly, serving tea, roti, and fresh apricots.
About 11 km ahead is another village Marthing with a petrol pump — beyond this, fuel becomes scarce and may cost at least 350 PKR per liter from locals.

Further along, in a small village, local residents invited me to enjoy fresh apricots straight from the trees. At Power Yarkhun, the Chitral Scouts offered me tea, but I politely declined. Then, at Dobargar, the police stopped me and insisted on making tea for me — and I couldn’t refuse.

The sweetest moment came in another small village when children from a nearby home brought me a glass of water. To my surprise, the taste was so pure and sweet, it felt as if honey had been mixed in.

The route passes through multiple villages and key checkpoints: Army post at Brep, Power Yarkhun, Police post at Dobargar, and finally the Chitral Scouts post at Yarkhun Lashat, which serves as the army for both Lower and Upper Chitral but you should know about all village in this route because of not working maps in these areas, the list of village on the way to yarkhun lashat is Chinar Gaht, Chuinj, Chapali, Brep, Bang (Lower/Upper), Meragram, Dizg, Istach (Ishtach), Gazen, Zhupu, Sholkoch, Pawoor Yarkhun, Wasum, Dobargar, Yarkhun Lasht.

We ended this part of the journey at Yarkhun Lashat, surrounded by raw beauty and unmatched hospitality — a reminder that the heart of Yarkhun Valley lies not only in its landscapes, but in its people.
